Set up a location

Goal​

Add one site of the business, and say when it is open.

Prerequisites​

  • You hold Sports & Leisure — centre manager.

Steps​

  1. In Sports & Leisure, open Locations and select New.
  2. Give it a Name, a short Code (unique across your locations) and its Time zone — for example Europe/London. Add the Currency it charges in, such as GBP, and its address.
  3. Save.
  4. On the Opening hours tab, add one row for each day the location opens. Choose the Day and enter Opens and Closes as minutes after midnight: 06:00 is 360, 22:00 is 1320, and midnight at the end of the day is 1440.
  5. Save each row. Its Hours are filled in for you — Monday 06:00–22:00.

What happens behind the scenes​

A day the location is closed is a day with no row, so there is nothing to mark as closed. Each location has one row per day: a second row for the same day is refused, and so is a row that closes before it opens.

When a location closes for good, change its status to Closed rather than deleting it. Its history, and everything that refers to it, stays.

Troubleshooting​

  • "This location already has opening hours for …" — change that day's row instead of adding another.
  • "Opening hours are minutes after midnight, from 0 to 1440" — enter minutes, not a time: 09:30 is 570.
