Set your password from the welcome message
Goal
Turn the welcome message you received into a working sign-in: choose a password and get into your new tenant.
Prerequisites
- Somebody started a trial for your company on parsware.com, with your address as the administrator's — usually that was you.
- You have the message titled Your Parsware tenant is ready in your inbox.
What the message is
When a trial is started, the platform creates your tenant — your organisation's own space — with a first environment to build in and you as its administrator. An administrator is created without a password. The message carries the one link that lets you set one; there is never a password in the message itself.
The message also names the address your environment lives at. That is where you will sign in from now on — bookmark it.
Steps
- Open the message and select Set my password and sign in. It opens the welcome page on your environment's own address.
- Type a password of at least twelve characters, and type it again to confirm. Length matters more than punctuation.
- Select Set my password.
- The page confirms the password is set and names the address to sign in with. Select Go to sign in; the address is already filled in.
- Sign in with the password you just chose. You are the tenant's administrator, so the Admin Control Center is open to you as well as the Platform Shell.
The link works once, for seven days
Selecting it a second time — or after a week — shows This link is not valid any more. That is deliberate: a link that keeps working is a link that keeps admitting whoever holds it.
If you need another, ask from the account area on parsware.com, or contact us; a new message comes with a new link, and the old one stops working the moment it is sent.
Something did not work?
- "This link is missing its token." The address was cut short when it was copied. Open the link from the message itself rather than typing it.
- The two passwords are not the same. Type the password again in both boxes; nothing was sent.
- You did not receive the message. Check the spam folder first. If it is not there, ask for the message to be sent again from the account area on parsware.com.
